WordPress has enjoyed huge fame in recent years as more and more webmasters and bloggers, even medium to corporate companies are now switching to WordPress.
The ease of use, versatility and the availability of a huge support forum made WordPress everyone’s favourite. In fact, there are many reasons why one should switch to WordPress and the list will be big.
As I said at the beginning of this review, Rocket is a new player in the Industry but the key people behind the company have years of experience in Webhosting and WordPress.
Rocket offers three solutions, a managed WordPress hosting, a Woo-commerce hosting along with a WordPress reseller program which allows you to resell their products under your brand name. The reseller program is completely white-labelled, your brand everywhere.
They have many features which we expect from a premium WordPress hosting provider. The first thing worth mentioning is that, the ease of use. It is really simple to use, You purchase a plan, add your website and you can go live when you’re done designing your website.
The entire process is simple and easy to use, you don’t have to be an expert to use their services and there is no complex setup either, Rocket will take care of everything.
Rocket offers you free enterprise-grade CDN at no additional cost. The CDN is provided in collaboration with Cloudflare. The CDN also comes with built-in caching and Brotli compression.
With the availability of many Cloudflare PoPs around the world and Brotli compression, your website will load super fast.
They also offer daily backups with 14 days of backup retention and promises 99.99% server uptime.
Ease of use
The platform is really easy to use and clutter-free. They neatly arranged everything in the dashboard and you can do everything easily. Even if you are a beginner, you will be able to do things without any hassle.
They made everything easy to understand. Nothing complicated. The dashboard shows all your websites and you can click manage to manage the particular website. When clicked manage, it takes you to another page where all the options provided by rocket are available there.
You can manage your plugins from the dashboard, You can activate, update or delete particular plugins from the dashboard. You can also manage themes from the dashboard.
As we mentioned in the review, Rocket takes backups of your website every day and you can see and manage these backups under backup section. They also allow you to make on-demand backups from the dashboard.
Under the reports tab, You can find your CDN traffic data, you have so many options there to choose. There are much data available such as data hit rate, content type and countries etc.
Security is something which is really important when it comes to WordPress. Due to the popularity of WordPress, hackers also seems to be much interested in WordPress.
WordPress is a popular platform and due to this fame, Attacks on WordPress is increasing day by day. Although WordPress is a secure platform, it is always good to take security into consideration and to choose a web host that offers secure web servers.
Rocket offers a web application firewall (WAF) to all their customers which prevent attackers from taking control of your website. They also offer malware scanning and malware patching so you need not worry about the security of your website.
They also offer weak password prevention and brute force protection.
They provide a daily automated backup of your websites hosted with Rocket.net.
Performance uptime and reliability
Now, this is the most important thing when it comes to WordPress hosting, While Google along with users prefers fast websites, Rocket servers are really quick.
We created a website for testing purpose and the website loads really quick and consistent in performance.
Now, take a look at this Speed test report from Sucuri. You can see that the server responded really fast regardless of the location. Connection speed is great, TTFB is exceptional.
The reason why I used Sucuri is that it tests from multiple locations and shows all the results in one place so that it is easier to show website speed in one image.
Pricing is another important decision making factor. The pricing starts from $30/Month, with this plan, you can host only one website, the pricing goes up to $200/Month.
You can get 2 months off if you choose to pay annually. We compared pricing with few other managed WordPress hosting providers, we found that Rocket offers excellent value to the customers especially while comparing the value they offered to the customers.
When pricing is compared, Rocket is priced similar to others, But they allow more visitors which is an added advantage.
One word – Phenomenal. I had discussed with their support and they were really fast and helpful.
They provide support via live chat, email and via phone.
With so many big players in the industry, jumping to a conclusion is hard. But Rocket is on a different level here. What we loved most about them are their speed and performance.
Also, their support deserves applause too. They were fast and efficient.
Pricing is something which is worth mentioning too, When compared to other premium WordPress hosting providers, they are very competitively priced and provides excellent value.
Despite being a fantastic web host, these are the problems we found, there is no email available, you will have to buy email hosting separately from vendors like Google or Zoho.
Pricing is almost similar to other competitors such as WPEngine and Flywheel but Rocket.net is much generous about resources and number of unique visitors when compared to both of these.
Our recommendation is that, if you are someone who appreciates super-fast servers along with great support and pricing, you should consider Rocket. If you checked our other articles and reviews, we always say that server speed and uptime are two important things you should look for. Quality and speed of support come next. We found that Rocket.net excels in everything and would be a great web host regardless of your needs.
