Introduction to Fastcomet Review

FastComet is recently gaining huge popularity and many webmasters found switching to FastComet thus we decided to review their services to know if their services can keep up with their claims. For the Fastcomet review, we purchased a shared hosting plan (Single website plan) and tested it for a month. We used WordPress to make a website to test and also used various tools like Pingdom, Gtmetrix, Sucuri Etc to make our Fastcomet review

before making a shared hosting purchase you might think about various factors. but most of us will consider website speed, performance, support, etc

But many of us will have more specific needs such as free SSL free website migration and even the number of inodes allocation can have an influence on the final decision

Fastcomet offers three main services, Shared hosting, Cloud VPS, and Dedicated services. We used their shared hosting service to do this review

Shared Hosting

Plans

They have three shared hosting plans called Single website, Multiple websites, and an E-commerce plan. A single website plan is suitable if you have only one domain. Multiple website plans are suitable if you have more than one domain. An E-commerce plan is suitable for those who run an E-commerce website. We have made a table comparing features available in their shared web hosting plans for you to understand easily.

From the table, you can find that only important features are available with a single website plan. Whereas advanced plans are available with Multiple website plans. The E-commerce plan offers more E-Commerce oriented features. choose according to your needs. If you do not want to run an E-commerce website, either one of the first two plans fits for you

Performance

As we said, we have tested FastComet with various tools. We checked their server response time and website loading time from various locations of the world. In all of our tests, we found that the server responds very fast according to Google page speed insights a website’s response time should be below 200ms. Fastcomet server responded in 17ms. web page load time is also pretty decent a 600KB page loaded in 820ms and a 1.7MB web page loaded in 1.2 seconds, we choose the American data centre but the website loaded really fast in Brazil and Australia. This is really impressive as your readers and search engines love fast websites and fast websites get better search engine ranking

Here are some features which we love about Fastcomet.

Fast servers and Good performance

They do have fast servers available. websites hosted on their servers responds and load very fast. Thanks to their SSD drives and advanced caching system. We have not faced any downtime during our 30 days of testing. Their uptime is really solid.

Affordable price

When compared with the big players, Fastcomet provides very affordable services without compromising on quality and support. You may get a 50% off from other web hosts but for renewals, you will be charged two or three times more than your initial payment FastComet is really cheap and charges same for renewals as well, and that is absolutely fantastic.

Free domain for life

They offer a free domain for life and it is really awesome. Other web hosts offer a free domain for the first year only, after the first year, you will have to pay for renewals. But FastCcomet renews the domain for you as long as you host with them

Awesome support

They provide very good support via phone and live chat. We contacted them with many issues. They were really patient and helpful. The customer care representatives they have are experts so they can resolve issues really fast. Their support is available 24/7 it is good when some big players do not provide technical support through live chat

Free website migration

Migrating a website can be a cumbersome process especially if you are not an expert or your website is large. Fastcomet offers free website migration from your old web host while switching to them. Don’t forget that many of their competitors charge for this.

Free SSL

You may already be heard that Google encourage webmasters to use SSL on their websites to make the internet more secure. From February 2017, Google Chrome will flag websites without SSL certificates as “insecure” this might make users leave your website and if you can not afford it, it is better to install the SSL certificate on your website. Fastcomet is giving Let’s Encrypt free SSL certificates with all of their hosting plans so that you do not have to spend extra money on your websites. This will make your website appear safe and you can also enjoy a slight increase in SEO.

Performance

Performance is one important thing that we consider in any kind of hosting. We don’t like a slow-loading website it is the same for Google and other search engines as well.  We tried Fastcomet for a while and found that their shared hosting works really fast. We also enabled the Jetpack content delivery system which enhanced the website speed even more.

Their cloud VPS and dedicated servers perform really well and provide the same performance consistently.

Things we do not like about FastComet

They are affordable, there is no doubt about it. But, to avail of this price, you have to sign up for a three years commitment. You can not get the same price if you choose to buy a smaller tenure.

Our Verdict

FastComet is absolutely a wonderful web host which offers solid performance and great uptime. While they do not compromise on quality, their pricing is affordable too. It is really hard to find another web host which offers top-notch quality at this price. We recommend you to choose Fastcomet as your recommended web host. You will not regret that.
